Editorial Policy
How the FactoWiki Editorial Team researches, writes and reviews every page.
Our standards
FactoWiki publishes health information, so we hold our content to a high bar. Every guide is expected to be accurate, evidence-based, clearly sourced, and free of exaggerated health claims.
How we research
For each ingredient or topic, we review published scientific literature — including peer-reviewed studies and reputable health authorities — and summarise what the evidence actually shows, including its limits. We link to primary sources such as PubMed-indexed studies so readers can check them directly.
How we handle claims
We describe what research suggests, not what we wish it showed. We avoid words like "cure," "treat," "guaranteed" or "miracle." Supplements are presented as things that may support aspects of health, alongside their evidence and their risks. We are not a substitute for professional medical advice.
Review and updates
Every page is reviewed by the FactoWiki Editorial Team before publishing and carries a "last updated" date. We revisit content as new evidence emerges and correct mistakes as soon as we learn of them.
