FactoWiki Editorial Team

The FactoWiki Editorial Team is the role responsible for product reviews, comparisons and Best Supplements guides, for checking product information against its sources, and for corrections and final publication. It is an editorial function, not a panel of medical professionals.

What the Editorial Team does

How sources are selected

Product facts come from the current Supplement Facts panel where available, the seller’s official product and order pages, and published refund terms. These establish what is advertised, not whether it works. Health and ingredient statements rely on sources chosen by the FactoWiki Research Team: PubMed-indexed human studies, systematic reviews and meta-analyses, and guidance from NIH (including the Office of Dietary Supplements), NCCIH and the FDA. Marketing pages, affiliate-network descriptions, bottle-front images and testimonials are not treated as evidence of a formula or an outcome. When sellers publish conflicting formulas, or ingredient names without amounts, the review says so.

How updates are handled

Pages are revisited when a label, price, refund term or relevant evidence changes, when a reader reports a problem, or during periodic checks of a category. An updated date on a page records an editorial change; it does not mean every health statement was re-reviewed by a clinician. Where a formula change affects conclusions, the page states what changed.

How corrections are handled

Report an error through the contact page with the page URL and, ideally, a source. Factual errors — a wrong dose, ingredient, price, citation or claim — are corrected on the page and the updated date is changed. Corrections that change a conclusion are noted on the page. Citations that cannot be verified are removed or replaced rather than left in place. See the correction policy.

How affiliate relationships work

FactoWiki may earn a commission when a reader buys through a link on a product review page. These links are marked as sponsored and disclosed on the page. Comparison pages, Best Supplements guides, evidence reviews and ingredient guides do not carry affiliate purchase links. Commissions are paid by sellers or affiliate networks, not by readers. See the affiliate disclosure.

How conflicts of interest are avoided

Desk-based or first-hand?

FactoWiki product reviews, comparisons and Best guides are desk-based. We have not purchased, used, laboratory-tested or clinically tested the products unless a page explicitly states that first-hand testing took place and describes it. No page currently makes that claim.
