This policy explains who is responsible for FactoWiki content, what our bylines mean, how evidence and product claims are handled, and the limits of what we publish.
Attribution
FactoWiki uses role-based attribution, applied consistently across the site:

We do not use “medically reviewed”, “doctor reviewed”, “pharmacist reviewed” or similar wording unless a named, qualified professional actually reviewed the page, and we do not invent reviewer identities, credentials, personal-use experiences or testimonials.
Sources and product claims
Health claims should link to relevant studies or authoritative guidance. Seller descriptions establish what is advertised, not that it works. A photograph of a bottle front cannot verify a complete formula. Ingredient studies must not be presented as trials of a finished product. When a current label, price or study cannot be verified, the limitation is stated rather than replaced with an assumed amount or result.
Testing
Product reviews, comparisons and Best Supplements guides are desk-based unless a page explicitly states that first-hand testing took place and describes it.
AI assistance
AI tools may assist research organisation, drafting, editing and formatting. They are not medical reviewers and do not independently verify a claim.
Ratings and commercial links
We do not publish a numerical product score unless the criteria, underlying evidence and calculation can be explained. Affiliate commissions, guarantee length and ease of use do not increase the scientific evidence for a product. Affiliate links appear on product review pages, are disclosed and are marked as sponsored. Comparison pages and Best Supplements guides do not carry affiliate purchase links. FactoWiki subdomain guides are part of the same publishing network; links to them are related reading, not independent validation.
Dates and corrections
An updated date records an editorial change. It does not mean every medical claim was newly reviewed by a clinician. Report a correction with the page URL and supporting information through our contact page; see the correction policy.

Our material is educational. It does not diagnose a condition, prescribe treatment or replace a qualified professional who knows your circumstances.
